Documentation & Biometric Verification
- Candidates are required to produce all original documents for verification, including educational certificates, sports achievement certificates, caste certificates, age proof, and ID proof.
- Biometric data (fingerprints, photograph) will be captured and verified at this stage.
- This is the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
- The PST is qualifying in nature. Candidates who clear documentation will undergo this test.
- Minimum Height (Male): 170 cms (with relaxations for specific categories like ST, Garhwalis, etc.).
- Minimum Height (Female): 157 cms (with relaxations for specific categories).
- Chest (Male only): 80 cms un-expanded, with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards for both male and female candidates.
Merit List Preparation
- There is no written examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks awarded for sports achievements.
- Marks are allotted based on the level of participation and medals won (e.g., Olympics, World Championship, Asian Games).
- Maximum marks are 100. For example, an Olympics Gold medal is worth 100 marks, while a medal in the National Games is worth 30 marks.
- Candidates will be given marks for their highest one medal/achievement in the last two years.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Candidates selected on the basis of the merit list will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without correction.
- Candidates must not have knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, or squint in their eyes and must be free from color blindness.
- This is the final stage, and candidates must be declared medically fit to be considered for appointment.
