Difference Between City Intimation Slip & Admit Card

Many candidates confuse the two documents. Here is the difference:

  1. RRB Section Controller City Intimation Slip:

    • Release Date: 10 days before the exam.
    • Purpose: To inform you about the City and State where your exam will be held. This is strictly for travel planning (booking trains/hotels).
    • Validity: This is NOT a valid document for entry into the exam hall.
  2. RRB Section Controller Admit Card (E-Call Letter):

    • Release Date: 4 days before the exam.
    • Purpose: It contains the Exam Centre Name, Address, Roll Number, and Reporting Time.
    • Validity: Mandatory for entry.

  2. Find the Link: Look for the notification titled "CEN 02/2026: Download E-Call Letter for Section Controller CBT".
  3. Login: A login page will appear. Enter your Registration Number and Password (Usually your Date of Birth in DD-MM-YYYY format).

Important Details to Verify on the Admit Card

After downloading, check the following details carefully. Any discrepancy could lead to issues at the exam center.

  • Candidate’s Name & Photo: Ensure the photo matches your appearance.
  • Roll Number & Registration Number: Essential for computer login.
  • Exam Center Address: Locate the center on Google Maps a day before.
  • Reporting Time & Gate Closing Time: Railways are very strict. Gate closing time is final.
  • Google Map Link: The e-call letter often contains a link to the exam center location.

Mandatory Documents for Exam Day

You will not be allowed inside the center without these documents. Do not forget them!

  1. Printed E-Call Letter: The hard copy of the admit card.
  2. Original Photo ID: Aadhar Card (Unlock your biometric if locked), PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport. Photocopies are not accepted.
