  2. Enter the First 4 characters of your Father's Name.
  3. Enter your Date of Birth.
  4. Click "Search".

Details Mentioned on the City Slip

Once you access your dashboard, you will see the following details. Verify them carefully:

  • Candidate's Name & Roll No: Ensure spelling is correct.
  • Exam Date: The specific day of your exam.
  • Shift Timing: Morning, Afternoon, or Evening shift.
  • City of Exam: The city where you need to report (e.g., Patna, Lucknow, Mumbai).
  • Form Status: It should say "ACCEPTED".

Rejected Applications: If your status says "Rejected," the reason (e.g., blurred photo, invalid signature) will be mentioned. Unfortunately, SSC rarely accepts appeals at this stage.

Difference Between City Slip and Admit Card

Many students get confused between the two documents.

  • City Intimation Slip: Tells you "Where" (City) and "When" (Date) the exam is. It does not have the school/center name. You typically cannot use this to enter the exam hall.
  • Admit Card: Released 4 days before the exam. It contains the "Venue" (School Name/Address). This is mandatory for entry.

Important Exam Day Instructions

While you plan your travel based on the city slip, keep these exam rules in mind:

  1. Original ID Proof: You must carry an original Photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID) that has the same Date of Birth as printed on the admission certificate.
  2. Photos: Carry 2 recent passport-size colored photographs.
  3. Reporting Time: Gates close strictly at the time mentioned. Reach at least 60-90 minutes early.

Last Minute Preparation Strategy

With the exam dates out, you have limited time.

  • Mock Tests: Start taking mocks at the exact time of your shift mentioned in the city slip. This tunes your biological clock.
  • Focus Areas: General Awareness and English determine the merit list (Session 2). Reasoning and Math (Session 1) are just qualifying, but don't ignore them completely.
